SUOOG™ is an online classifieds platform that connects independent buyers and sellers across Canada. We do not buy, sell, inspect, ship, store, or otherwise own any of the items listed on the platform. All transactions are direct, peer-to-peer arrangements between users.
The SUOOG platform, including all listings, search results, AI-generated summaries, photos, and metadata, is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by Canadian law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including (without limitation) warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, title, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability.
Listings on SUOOG are created and submitted by individual users. While every listing is automatically screened by our moderation system before publication, we cannot independently verify:
What the blue verified checkmark does — and does NOT — mean. The blue checkmark confirms only that, at the time the badge was granted, Stripe Identity matched the user’s government ID against a live selfie. It does not verify the existence, condition, or legitimacy of any item the user posts, and it does not guarantee that a transaction with that user will be safe. A verified user can still post inaccurate listings, deal in bad faith, or attempt fraud. Treat the badge as one signal among many — never as a substitute for inspecting the item in person and using a safe payment method. See our Safety Tips for guidance.
Buyers and sellers are solely responsible for evaluating each other and the item before completing a transaction. We strongly recommend reviewing our Safety Tips before meeting in person or sending money.
Our role — an informational classifieds directory. SUOOG™ operates strictly as an informational classifieds directory: a neutral online venue where independent users in Canada publish advertisements for items they wish to sell. We are not the seller, the buyer, the agent, the broker, the shipper, the courier, or the escrow holder for any listing. We do not buy, sell, inspect, test, appraise, repair, handle, hold, warehouse, store, ship, deliver, or take possession or custody of any item at any time — listed items never pass through our hands and we offer no warranty on them. Any contract for the sale of an item is formed solely between the buyer and the seller.
We do not process or handle payments between buyers and sellers. SUOOG does not collect, hold, escrow, transfer, or refund the purchase price of any item, and we provide no payment, financing, or money-transmission service between users. Buyers and sellers arrange and exchange payment directly between themselves, on their own terms and at their own risk. The only payments SUOOG collects are optional fees for our own platform services — paid listing tiers, listing add-ons, and the optional identity check — which are described in Terms §6 and are entirely separate from, and unrelated to, the price of any item advertised on the platform.
No liability for user transactions. Because we are only an informational directory and are never a party to a transaction between users, SUOOG assumes no liability for any item, listing, description, communication, payment, or transaction between buyers and sellers, and disclaims responsibility for any loss, damage, injury, or dispute arising from them. Any dispute about an item or a payment is solely between the buyer and the seller. The limitations in this Disclaimer and in our Terms §13 apply to the fullest extent permitted by Canadian law.
SUOOG uses artificial-intelligence tools — including large-language models and text-embedding models — to power our semantic search: understanding what a shopper means and ranking listings by relevance. These outputs are generated algorithmically and may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. Users should not rely on AI-generated content as the sole basis for any purchase, sale, or legal decision. Always verify information directly with the other party before transacting.
Every listing is automatically screened by our moderation system before it is published, and again after any edit — screening usually completes within seconds. Beyond that automated screening, listing visibility and the blue verified checkmark are administered at our sole discretion: we may reject or remove any listing, before or after publication, that we determine in good faith to violate our Terms of Service, applicable law, or community standards, and any edit (including a paid add-on edit) must pass a fresh automated re-screening before re-publishing. We may also revoke a user’s blue verified checkmark if we believe in good faith they have misused the verification process or attempted to defraud buyers. Revocation does not by itself delete the user’s listings and does not trigger an automatic refund of the original verification fee. See Terms §9 and §15 for the full mechanics.

The platform may contain links to third-party websites and services (e.g., Stripe Checkout, Stripe Identity, AWS hosting, the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre, and — inside the SUOOG apps — the Apple App Store, Google Play and the Microsoft Store, including their purchase and refund flows). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any external site or store. Visiting an external link is at your own risk and subject to the third party’s terms.
Pricing for the paid tier (Extended $20), listing add-ons (Urgent Badge $1, Shop Icon $3, Website Link $5, 7-Day Auto-Bump $10), and the optional $5 identity verification are the website prices, displayed in Canadian dollars (CAD) and may change with prospective effect. Purchases made inside the SUOOG apps use each app store’s own price points and may therefore differ slightly; the price shown to you at the moment of purchase is always the price you pay.
On this website, payments are processed by Stripe and CININTIRIKS INC. is the merchant of record. In the SUOOG apps, payments are processed by the Apple App Store, Google Play or the Microsoft Store through its own in-app purchase system, and that store is the merchant of record. Fees are generally non-refundable once the benefit (extra visibility, add-on, or verification badge) is delivered. Refund requests for website purchases go to contact@suoog.ca; refund requests for app purchases must go to the app store that took the payment, because we do not hold those funds and cannot refund them ourselves. Where a refund IS issued, the affected listing is reconciled automatically:

All listings, transactions, and tier fees on SUOOG are in Canadian dollars (CAD). Users are responsible for determining and remitting any sales tax, GST/HST/PST, income tax, or other tax obligations that arise from their use of the platform or from individual transactions with other users.
On the tax treatment of SUOOG’s own fees: website prices are exclusive of tax and applicable GST/HST is calculated at checkout and added to the total, which CININTIRIKS INC. collects and remits. Inside the SUOOG apps the relevant app store collects and remits the tax as merchant of record, but each store presents it differently: Apple prices are inclusive of all applicable taxes, whereas the Microsoft Store adds GST/HST at checkout on top of the listed price. The total shown on the store's payment screen before you confirm is always the amount charged.
By using SUOOG you agree to indemnify and hold harmless SUOOG™, its parent company, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claim, demand, loss, liability, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (a) your use of the platform, (b) any listing you post, (c) any transaction you enter into, or (d) your violation of these terms or any law.
To the maximum extent permitted by Canadian law, in no event shall SUOOG™ be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages — including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or reputation — arising out of or related to your use of the platform, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the greater of (i) CAD $50 or (ii) the fees you paid to SUOOG in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
We may update this Disclaimer from time to time. The most current version will always be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Material changes will also be communicated via email or an in-platform notice.
